Course Schedule of the Online Theory Course
The prospective dog owners will read and internalize the richly illustrated articles on the various topics. Each topic will be followed by a light-hearted self-test. This will give you the chance to verify: Have I really understood the material? Should questions be answered in incorrectly, the participant will have the opportunity to deepen his understanding. The test can be repeated at any time, "failing" is practically impossible.
On average it will take four hours of online study time to review the various topics. Of course participants are free to spend more time learning more about the fascinating subject of dog handling. Recommended reading - including free online texts - is listed alongside every topic.
It is important for first-time dog owners to come to grips with these topics. This is the only way to ensure that the participants become aware of the substantial responsibilities dog-ownership entails.
There is no final exam that you need to pass. All tests are voluntary and only for self-monitoring purposes.
After graduation you will receive the SKN-certificate, provided that your work with the course material shows that you understood the theory. More information is available on our information page..This certificate must be produced when you buy a dog. Apart from that it is advised that you safely store the certificate together with any other documentation regarding your dog.
When you buy another dog you do not need to complete the theory course again. The certificate you received the first time around will suffice.
Within a year a participant who completed the theory course must attend a practical course that builds on the theory course. At the end of the course you will get to know providers that offer the practical course in your area. Of course you are free to find a trainer of your choosing for the practical course.

completed 4 hours training.

I really enjoyed doing this course. First of all because I could do most of it in English. It was very informative. One tends to think we know it all, butI learnt alot more than what I expected. I would recommend it to anyone needing to this test. It is very flexible,as you can work at your own pace and when you have time available.
